When World Spa opened in December 2022, I was excited. A 50,000-square-foot wellness destination in my part of Brooklyn, how is that even possible? I don’t live in a particularly trendy area in Brooklyn, and I prefer it that way. And when realizing that thousands of people would be visiting the spa in my area, I got cranky.
As any lifelong New Yorker will tell you, we don’t particularly love new attractions in our neighborhoods. But a spa, within walking distance of my home? Oh, mama. I got excited again with a residual side order of crankiness, which is probably why it took me this long to visit the spa.
