Hello, Gorgeous!
If you’ve ever tried to make your own at-home skincare you already know what a tricky (and stinky) process it can be - not to mention trying to figure out how to store everything and keep it fresh.
HPPY is a new brand of skincare that creates face masks utilizing the same technology of safe food packaging. Every mask is individually wrapped in tiny purse-friendly packaging, and color coded so you can keep track.
HPPY Skin solves the farm to face conundrum
What do you get when you cross a food manufacturing facility with the urge to create a new type of single use skin mask? HPPY face masks!
As explained on the company website, the process uses HPP (High Pressure Processing) the same technique used to “safely preserve fresh nutrients without the need for heat or chemicals.” Even better, “HPP effectively eliminates all potentially harmful microbes, while giving the powerful active nutrients a place to thrive.” The best part? As long as you keep them refrigerated, your face masks hold onto their active properties.
Up first from the line are:
Refresh Mask which targets dull thirsty skin Actives include oat kernel flour, squalane (derived from olives!), honey and raw, unpeeled cucumbers (how much do we love that they mention that the cukes are raw and unpeeled?).
Rewind Mask which brightens your face with red grapes, lactic acid, and rose hip oil.
Calm Mask which targets redness with centella, ceramides, and bananas.
Clarity Mask is best for skin prone to breakouts. Ingredients include salicylic acid, Manuka honey, and niacinamide.
The pricing feels a bit steep. But then again, all ingredients are fresh and packaged/stored to stay that way. Each mask retails for $16. Packs of five are $56 with 20 for $200.
I’d say that these are the perfect stocking stuffer, but they need to be refrigerated for maximum efficacy. Hmm. So maybe consider one of these? Frigidaire makes an adorable retro looking personal cooler that works for beauty products as well and comes in a handful of cute colors. ($30, Amazon)
Confession time. My beauty fridge might just be bigger than your regular fridge. Enough said.
Do you love the idea of freshly made and packaged face masks? More importantly, do you have a beauty fridge? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
