Gift-Worthy Body Lotions
Dry skin is a thing of the past with these beautiful and affordable body treatments
Hello, Gorgeous!
I’m trying to finish up all my year-end assignments so will be briefer than usual…Or at least that’s the plan!
A reader* asked for suggestions for body lotions that are gift-worthy without breaking the bank. I tried to round up a few with varying price points.
Body lotions that make great gifts
The portable option. Nopalera Moisturizing Botanical Bar is a moisturizer in solid form infused with plant butters and a boatload of Mexican botanicals. It’s a great gift for your friend who always seems to be on the road or in the air ($30, Nordstrom).
The one with layers. If you want to send a multi-part gift, try Demeter body lotion paired with a scent. If you’re unsure of which fragrances work well together, Demeter CEO and Perfumer Mark Crames explained how to create a signature scent. Right now I’m partial to Demeter Almond Body Lotion paired with pretty much anything. (About $20, demeterfragrance.com Use code HELLOGORGEOUS for 10% off your order).
The OG body butter. It’s hard to beat Bliss Lemon & Sage Body Butter. It smells heavenly, has clean formulation and brand recognition and lasts for hours. Did I mention affordable? ($12, Amazon.com).
A natural option. BOOM’s BoomSilk is tailored for mature skin. It’s made with five natural ingredients including organic extra virgin olive oil to fortify your natural skin barrier, organic beeswax which adds a protective layer, organic honey to smooth fine lines and vitamin E for extra softening. ($29, for 2 oz on boombeauty.com).
Lotion + serum. Onyx Professional Coconut Bliss Hydrating Lotion & Serum Duo is so cool and such a good product, it’s surprising that it costs under $7.00. Squeeze for an even dose of lotion and serum. Squeeze the top if your skin needs more lotion; apply more pressure if you’d like more serum. It also smells heavenly (you can find the serum/lotion duo in a few great scents) and makes for a really conversation-worthy stocking stuffer. ($7, Walmart).
Anything Ahava. I have a particular fondness for Ahava (the Hebrew word for love) skincare which seems to work on even the most sensitive skin. Their mineral body lotion is incredibly lightweight, but the moisture lasts and lasts. ($32, Ahava.com)
