Hello, Gorgeous!
While things seem to have slowed down in much of the (corporate) world, my week was a bit chaotic.
Related/unrelated, I’m very slowly and patiently trying to declutter in a big way. I’m also trying to create more of a peaceful oasis in my bedroom which at this point can double as an art gallery/craft storage unit. For that reason, the weekend roundup will be things that make you feel cozier.
Mocha Mousse: Pantone color of the year as inspo
Every year Pantone picks a color to set the stage for the year ahead. This year it’s Mocha Mousse along with some complementary shades. Some love it. Some hate it. Some think it reminds us to eat more truffles (that would be me). Overall, it’s a great neutral to use for makeup, cozy winter clothes, or to build a room around.
The softest sheets ever
First up, PeachSkinSheets’ Light Mocha bedding embraces more of the latte look that works well with all the 2025 colors of the year. This works well with layering gentle beach shades and a minimalist aesthetic. Incidentally, PeachSkinSheets are sooooo soft you’ll probably want to stay in bed for the entire weekend. I won’t judge you if you do! ($125, PeachSkinSheets.com).
Some bedroom glow
I’m back to my glow/sparkle/shimmer theme. Ikea’s DEJSA Table lamp in beige/opal glass has a cute vintage mushroom shape that offers a respectful nod to midcentury mod. It also adds the right amount of warm light to your bedroom or any area that needs a bit more light ($55, Ikea.com).
If you must leave your bed this weekend, you might want to check these out:
Bedroom eyes
While Kulfi beauty is made for South Asian skin, the warm colors flatter a host of skintones. Check out Zari Eyes cream to shadow eyeshadow for a crease-proof mocha-licious look ($30, KulfiBeauty.com).
A slouchy tote/laptop bag
I really really like Minor History’s slouchy tote the Times Tote. The soft full-grain leather drapes when you wear it so it doesn’t jut out awkwardly, even when you’re wearing loads of layers ($278, MinorHistory.com).
A Corduroy Button-Front Shacket
This is about as close to PJs as you’re going to get! I’m not sure if Cupshe is a Target brand, or some random brand they started carrying, but this shacket is super cute ($51, Target.com).
So what’s on your agenda this weekend, hibernation or exploration? Let’s discuss in the comment section!
