Hello, Gorgeous!
While I frequently rave about loads of makeup lines, I don’t often write about brands I don’t love. And I’ll admit that when celeb makeup guru Lisa Eldridge launched her makeup line in 2018, I found it a bit meh. But that’s not to say I didn’t love her technique, which is, as the cool kids say, chef’s kiss.
What is Pinpoint Concealing?
One of Lisa Eldridge’s signature moves is pinpoint concealing. Instead of applying a swath of cover up, she instead advises dotting on product on or near a blemish or dark spot. Blend as needed. I’ve always been fan of this approach since I like the look of skin showing through rather than than heavily applied product. Eldridge fans include those with acne or acne scarring.
Products to help you pinpoint
Last week Eldridge released her Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil. It’s fantastic. It’s also a bit impractical since there is so little product in every pencil. That said, it’s if you consider the fact that it’s 3.5 mm tip pencil, there isn’t much they can cram in.
The good news is that there are 16 shades, from a rosy pale beige to a deep espresso shade. The not so good news is that it retails for $36 at SpaceNK, and as mentioned, there’s not much product there, so you could run out pretty quickly.
Another option is Tarte Fake Awake, which comes in either universal nude or white and is one of my go-to products. I use it to hide broken capillaries, to enhance my brow game, or to tease out the look of a Cupid’s bow around my lips. I’m not a fan of using this (or other products) on my waterline since I find that it can irritate my eyes. I like that this one comes in two widths so you can enhance or barely highlight depending on your mood or needs. ($24, Ulta).
Do you like to pinpoint conceal, spackle on the cover up, or simply own your undereye baggage? Let’s meet in the comment section to discuss.

I didn't even know I have been using the "pinpoint method" but I guess I've been a devout pinpointed for as long as I can remember! But no matter how much consistent good sleep I get, I always have a bit of darkness in the eye are soo concealers are my bestie! Def will look into both these products!! Thanks Rachel & happy weekend 🤗
