Stop Being So Sensitive
Murad delivers plenty of soothing with the new Sensitive Skin Heartleaf Collection.
Hello, Gorgeous!
For anyone in need of some extra TLC today, you should treat yourself to something nice. May I wholeheartedly suggest the new sensitive skin line by Murad? It worked wonders on even my hypersensitive skin.
Murad Sensitive Skin Heartleaf Regimen
I feel like there’s a hidden life message in this one.
The tagline for this new collection is
Clinically proven to instantly decrease signs of sensitivity and increase resiliency with every use
Can’t we all use a potion or elixir clinically proven to increase our resilience?
But more about Murad Sensitive Skin Heartleaf Regimen.
All products in the line are hypo-allergenic, alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and non-stripping.
Aside from what you’d hope for or expect in a line created for sensitive skin, it also really moisturizes and enriches your skin. That’s significant since I’ve found that most treatments for extra sensitive skin don’t actually do much other than ensure your skin doesn’t react. That’s not the case with the heartleaf collection.
What’s heartleaf?
Heartleaf, (also known as houttunynia cordata) is so named for its heart-shaped leaves. It’s been used for decades in Korean skincare treatments. Heartleaf is prized for its anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties. What’s lovely about the plant is that it also has particularly resilient vines.
My favorite product in the collection so far is the Heartleaf Calming Cream Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin and Eczema-Prone Skin.
There’s a lot to like about the calming cream moisturizer. It automatically calms your skin, so that redness, drying or burning feels soothed.
About two weeks ago I broke out into an aggressive case of hives (I told you I had hypersensitive skin!). Nothing helped, and I’ve been walking around with residual polka-dotted skin which is no fun. I should amend that. Nothing helped until I tried the new Murad cream. It really did automatically calm my skin and make the redness less noticeable. It also is a fantastic moisturizer, even though it’s very lightweight and feels more like a water-based moisturizer.
I also did a side by side test on my face with the Murad Cellular Hydration Repair Cream (you can see a product comparison on the website). While both calmed my skin, the new heartleaf moisturizer tamed the redness and felt weightless. I really love it.
Another notable product in the collection is the Gentle Glycolic Acid Resurfacing Serum for Sensitive Skin. It might seem impossible for those with sensitive skin to use glycolics, but this serum is as gentle as claimed. My skin felt soothed not stripped after using. Another plus is that when you’ve used up your serum, you can buy a refill instead of an entirely new bottle.
I also love that there’s a body wash and face cleanser, so you can use all over your (highly sensitive) bod.
Do you use products for sensitive skin, or try a bit of everything? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
