Hello, Gorgeous!
You know the only thing worse than having baby fine hair? Having baby fine hat hair. And I’ve been having a lot of that this long, cold, endless winter. Fortunately, I’ve also discovered The Rootist line of products for fine and thinning hair.
Vitamin C in hair care
Vitamin C is known for its brightening properties in skincare, but did you know it also has benefits in hair care? I didn’t until I started using The Rootist products for thinning hair.
The Rootist’s newest launch is a BioBrew Fermented Strengthening Serum ($48, the rootist.com) made with vitamin C to visibly repair the hair cuticle to improve vibrancy and shine. Here’s the part that made me pay attention. The reasoning behind the vitamin C infusion is that since your hair and scalp are an extension of your skin and face, the ingredients can have the same potent effects. One imagines that takes your scalp’s unique microbiome into account in that equation.
I love that it’s a lightweight leave-in product. And while I know it’s clinically shown to reset and rejuvenate root, scalp and hair, I still gleefully noticed that my own hair had a bit more volume and bounce. Spray on damp, towel-dried hair 2-3 inches from scalp to ends two to three times weekly.
This strengthening serum seems to work immediately, protects strands from heat styling up to 450 degrees. And there’s a noticeable taming of frizz.
Out of stock right now, but amazing products for thinning hair
I’m on the fence about sharing the products that I really love since they’re out of stock right now. Maybe keep The Densify Bundle in mind for when you’re ready to refresh your haircare for thinning hair? I find myself wondering at random times during the day how it is that after a few weeks of use my hair (and especially partline) look denser. There are three products in the bundle - Densify Concentrated Shampoo, Densify Concentrated Conditioner, and Densifying Serum for Thinning Hair. You’ll notice that the bottles are small compared to your usual shampoo and conditioners. A little goes a very long way (About $120 for all three products, therootist.com).
Do you ever stalk out of stock beauty products and wait til they’re available? Let’s meet in the comment section to discuss!
